So much has happened since my last post I guess it would be best if I just gave you the high lights...
- My little sister came to visit and we had a blast! So much so she is coming back to visit again this weekend. Now if I can only get my house clean and ready for company! Ahhh! Oh well - Sleep is over-rated.
- I went to Hawaii with my husband, big sister, and her husband. We met my boss and her family there. My boss and I were there for an eLearning conference but we had a blast mixing business with pleasure. It was so much fun to spend some quality time with my big sister. It was also pretty cool to get to see her pregnant! I can't believe she is going to be a mom. I mean I know she will be great at it but sometime I still picture us all as kids like back in the day. I will try to get some pictures from this great trip up soon.
- We have been trying to escape to the lake a lot lately. It's really nice and relaxing most of the time. Most of the time the biggest challenge is catching up when we get home.
- My mom came down for a visit. It was soo nice to see her. We went to the biggest craft fair ever. It is called Christmas Village. I think we are sorta making it a tradition. My mom, my mother-in-law, and I have gone 2 years in a row now. And I absolutely love it. But my favorite part of the weekend was getting to spend some time with my mom. It's not often I get to spend time with just her.
- We spent the weekend before Thanksgiving with my husband's side of the family. It was a blast. We all hung out at the lake. It was so nice to see my Maw Maw and Paw Paw on that side. I never feel like we see them enough. All the girls spent some good old fashion girl-time shopping at a craft fair and that was awesome! Then the whole family went Christmas shopping. Overall, it was just nice to hang out.
- Then on Thanksgiving we drove up to Indiana to see my parents, grandmother, and little sister. It was really fun! Going home always reminds me how much I miss my family when they are not close. The weather was even nice for most of our trip. We played cards, cooked, baked, hung out in the hot tub, watched movies, watched football, and even got Dad to go shopping on Black Friday. It helped that we only went shopping for tools, electronics, and new beds. I hate to say it but even think he had fun!
- I turned in a draft of Chapter 2 and was given permission to start drafting chapter 1. I am really excited. Now I just need to focus on it. I am hoping next week will provide me with some good time for that.
- Chris went to a sleep specialist. He is a very active dreamer. I never really worried about it but it has gotten more active and I don't want him to hurt himself or me... plus, it makes us both exhausted anytime there is an episode. He is going in for a sleep study soon. I hope they figure it out. I know it bothers him and I feel helpless. I hope he knows I will love him no matter what happens - dreams or no dreams.
- Work is going well. I am very lucky because I love my job and my coworkers. Now I just have to nail down office Christmas gifts... hmmmm. Yep, no idea.
FINALLY!!! I've been checking everyday and nothing... nothing I tell you! :P I'm glad that the holidays were good for you guys, I love you!
